Tony and his wife Barb have been married for 40 years. They
have Five children, and six grandchildren.

Tony has spent his entire life in a family owned and operated business beginning in the 1960’s as Maas Brothers Meats, in the 1970’s becoming Jack Maas Meats with 2 locations specializing in specialty meats and meals along with catering. In 1980 the Maas family formed J.T.M. Food Group. J.T.M. stands for the initials of the father, John Thomas Maas, and also the four sons who are now the sole owners; Jack Jr., Joe, Jerry, and Tony Maas. All are graduates of Elder. J.T.M., being a food manufacturer of foodservice, school, military, restaurant, and retail food products are distributing our products on a national basis and to our troops abroad.

Tony was appointed President and CEO of J.T.M. in 1988 and he has held that position for the last 33 years to date. Starting at the age of 27 Tony along with his brothers have led the family business J.T.M. in sales growth of 8,000,000 in 1988 to sales of 240,000,000 in 2020. In 2020 producing over 110,000,000 pounds of Kettle Cooked products.

Tony and his family believe that their Catholic values which were received from their grandparents, parents and their Catholic education are the core values in which they are operating their business and their personal lives today.

Charitable work is the central part of Tony and Barb’s life. They are active with their home parish of Our Lady of Visitation but most importantly over the last 40 years working and supporting many pro-life ministries, Block Ministries, and our local seminary, Mount St. Mary’s. Tony and Barb are founding members of Ruah Woods which is a ministry equipped to teach theology of the body. Ruah Woods has created a first of its kind curriculum for K - 12 being offered on a national and international platform with a goal of ALL schools and parishes in the world to be TOB campuses where everyone is viewed as a gift from God, bearing the fruits of the Spirit.

Tony and Barb value the sanctity of life, their Catholic faith, marriage and family values. These are the center plate of their ministry activities.
